There's no doubt that working for an airline has its perks. There are great things that come from working for an airline from flight benefits to health insurance to great schedules for those who are at the top of the seniority list.
Like many big companies, and even small ones, health benefits are a must. Some companies health benefits are better than others, but having a decent health plan is a must nowadays. Airline health benefits can vary, but for the most part, it is pretty decent. Co-pay is not terrible, usually around $15 a visit. Other parts of the health plan is not too bad either.
When it comes to a great schedule, well you must have the seniority, that pretty much sums it up. There are big perks that comes with being at the top of the seniority list. Anyone who is senior in the airline, as far as date of hire, can pretty much have their first pick on the monthly schedule bid. Life is great for senior flight attendants who only has to work maybe 8 days a month and still get paid the same as someone working 20 days.
